POD HD500X

€ 59.00

Compared to the packs for FAS processors, the POD pack uses a completely different approach.

First of all, the presets are fx only, no amp sims. The video demo was recorded connecting the POD (fx only) into the AFE-FX 3 (amp only), almost as if it were a multi-fx pedalboard connected into an amp.

In the .zip file, you will find that most songs use 1 preset only, even though the song uses 2-3 different patches. I programmed the top row of switches so that they control multiple fx, and they kind of work like scenes. For example, Gloria begins with a 16th note delay, then when you hit FS2, the switch will bypass the 16th note delay and engage a 1/4 note delay and a compressor. For the solo and outro, you hit FS1 and you add an overdrive on top of what you had (sort of like an IA switch).

On the other hand, when you see songs that use more than one preset, that's because the song had too many differences between tones to assign everything to a couple switches, so in that case multiple presets were necessary.

As a general guideline, whenever a song has more than 1 tone, the FS2 switch will be tone #2 and then you either add FS1 (usually overdrive) or FS3 (modulation) or FS4 (delay) within the same preset, or switch to next preset (if the song has more than one. You'll see that in the preset name - for example "BEAUTIFUL DAY 1/3" means it's preset 1 of 3).

It sounds confusing, but once you'll sit down with your POD, you'll find out it's much easier than it seems.

This is the way I used to use it live before switching to the Axe-Fx, it is a bit unpractical, but it was the only way to load as many songs as possible within one playlist. You can always save each individual tone on a different preset and spread the songs across multiple playlist if you wish to do so.

IMPORTANT: There will be no update on the POD Pack, and since I haven't used it live in 6 years, I am not very familiar with it any longer, so support will be somewhat limited compared to the FAS processors.

Preset packs will be emailed within 24 hours after receiving payment.

THERE ARE NO RETURNS / REFUNDS ON PRESET PACKS.
